In the age of Myspace and Youtube, plagiarism and copyright infringement are an all -day problem not only the website -provider have to deal with.
The end consumer and -user often did not know what they where doing, because everyone does it, and so the engine works!
Now where i have finished my diploma and graduated from art school with a professional background its time to make thoughts and plans about what to do with my "career"...
And i´ve come to the conclusion that its not time yet to start a full time business with all that jingles to make a living from the arts ;
and maybe it will not be in the next years.
But art is my passion, i can´t live without creating and the day starts and ends with thinking, connecting with creatives and imagine or creating.
Art makes it possible for me to pull through my day job on the other side my day job makes it possible to invest into professional tools and the
things to work out all those ideas and stuff to feed the needs of clients and their commissions.
But back to the plagiarism point; a friend has recently send me a link to the following picture, which makes me proud and a bit pissed off together,
this pic is from a big American custom car show:

Nice on the one side, because most airbrushers use to paint Royo and Valejo on hot bikes and cars- so this is a cool feature for sure.
On the other side its sad, the person could have find out from whom the original painting is, and i would also have provided him a larger
resolution pic for tracing maybe.
But how to deal with such a case ...?
How would you deal with it, when your photograph or something else can be found on a truck or bike even on a wall for a commercial?
I think there should be made a difference, this one above is a hard job, maybe someone has done it for self representation, or even as
client -work he has spend 25-50 hours for it, which is pretty more than i needed to digitally remaster:
Deus ex machinae.
But if it would be used for commercial sale on lets say: "model cars", etc... the proper behavior would be a call to the lawyer!
This case is also the reason why i am dissociating me from the airbrush and custom-painting scene a bit more.
I´ve seen it in study, which is quite o.k. for a learning purpose and getting critique, but not to make a living off.
sadly that is what most clients request, that the airbrush artist should copy or recreate the work of others...
sorry, but thats a "no go" at least for me.
My goals are creating and experimenting with new materials such as oils and sculpture - installations - and digital art - in the fine art sector.
Finding galleries to represent them and besides illustration or cover art- jobs are possible.
So for the interested viewer of this website, if you have in mind to ask me about a custom -painting, then it needs to be a very interesting concept,
a tiny part, or something of my works that can wake up my interest to do something like an airbrush -design again.
